✪; Sebastian instantly pulled the boy into a tight hug. He didn’t say anything for a long time, he merely held the boy close. “Ciel, you’re going to be okay. I promise. It was my fault that this happened. But, honestly, it doesn’t hurt anymore. I’m going to make you some warm food. Soup and potatoes. Doesn’t that sound good? You have so much to live for. Hey, don’t be sad. Your life will get better. Just… forget about me. You’re going to be perfectly fine,” he spoke, his words soothing. The man kissed the bluenette’s forehead softly, reluctantly moving away from the embrace. He quickly set up the grill, pouring a can of soup in a bowl and setting it on the grill along with a bowl of potatoes. He lit the charcoal, and made sure the food was heating up properly.
“I’m glad that I am going to die knowing that I saved you,” he breathed, sitting beside Ciel, “I can’t feel any pain besides the actual bite. Eventuallly I will develop a fever and that will kill me. It’s not happening yet. We still have an evening together. I’m glad that I get to spend this time with you,” he smiled, but his tears were streaming freely down his face. He gently took the boy’s hand in his own. He was prepared to die.
──♚── Ciel closed his eyes tight, tears streaming down his cheeks as he returned the hug. “I’m not.. I’m not really that hungry.” After a moment, he pulled away from Sebastian and wiped his eyes on his sleeve. How was he supposed to kill Sebastian before he turned? Ciel wouldn’t be able to do it. He hated this world so much. Even though he said he wasn’t hungry, the man busied himself with making food. The boy watched Sebastian move, eyeing his bandaged arm with tears in his eyes.
After a bit, Ciel stood from his seat on the couch and stepped over to the raven-haired man. He watched him cook on the grill for a moment before speaking up. “You know, I really don’t trust a lot of people. But for some reason when I met you, I trusted you more than most. I really did want to be partners. It seemed perfect because I’m not very strong and I really need someone here to help me.” The food on the grill smelled delicious but he just didn’t have the stomach for it.
