daemonum-corvum:

✪; Sebastian ran his hands lightly through the other male’s hair, affectionately. He was afraid for the other, feeling extremely protective. “You’re far too grown up for your own good, honestly. It must be traumatic for you to have to experience that… I’m very sorry. However, I am here for you. I will stay with you. You need sleep, Ciel. It will feel much less lonely with me right here beside you…” he paused, smiling softly, “We’re partners now. We have to look out for each other, yeah?”

He felt so incredibly sympathetic to the boy, moreso than he had ever been towards anyone else. Reliving tragadies just sounded incredibly horrible, and Sebastian was determined to rid the night terrors so that the child could sleep. He would give Ciel the comfort that he had never received. The raven haired male laid down beside the bluenette, urging him to lay as well. “Come now, Ciel, you’re safe. I will keep you safe. I know how much pain you are in, and how much you are suffering. Believe me, I do. Please, please just relax. If you don’t sleep you will be weak and more vulnerable… Ciel, your parents woul be proud of you. They would be so very proud of you surviving on your own. Don’t remember them as they died, remember them for how they lived and how much they loved you.” Sebastian’s voice was soft and encouraging. He hoped that his words gave him some solace, even if it was a very very miniscule amount. Sebastian only hoped that he did not offend the boy or overstep his bounds.

──♚── iel felt a little silly and embarrassed. After all, he was 13 and screaming in his sleep over silly nightmares. Granted, they were terrifying nightmares, but all the same, he felt weak. When the man admitted that he was grown up, he looked a little surprise. He glanced down, cheeks hot from a soft blush before he nodded his head. “Partners…” He’d been alone for such a long time now that he almost forgot what it was like to have someone near.

The boy laid back on the bed along with Sebastian and curled up beneath the covers. After closing his eyes, he realized just how warm the other man was. It felt really good to be so close to him. He hadn’t realized just how much he needed someone else. And to think, if he hadn’t shown up, Ciel would have been dead. A walker shambling around the city just like all the others. “Thank you, Sebastian. For saving me, and for.. this.” He spoke softly, words trailing off as he slowly drifted off into a sleep free of nightmares.
