✪; Sebastian was careful with the younger boy, not wanting to hurt him, or himself for that matter. Sebastian pulled off his backpack and opened it, rifling through it for the Twinkies. He handed them to the bluenette and his crimson eyes scanned over the medical supplies. “This could very well come in useful. Just, not with your ankle. May I take a look at it? I want to know if I can help you. I won’t touch you if you don’t want me to,” he pulled out the honeybun and canned fruit, setting them aside along with the large water bottle he had found, “I won’t take any of your supplies, but you’re welcome to have mine. You need it more than I do. I can always find more…” As much as the man wanted to stay, he had a sinking feeling that his company wouldn’t be needed nor wanted. He was tired, truly. He hadn’t eaten in three days, but his body didn’t show it. Sebastian tooked in a deep breath. He was exhausted.
“My group left me. They sent me out a run for supplies and when I got back they were gone. They took all of my belongings and so, this here, this is all I have… I won’t bother you long. I’ll treat your ankle and then I’ll leave. I need to find a place to stay for the night and it’s already starting to get dark…” he trailed off, looking out the window at the dying sunlight, “I’ve got time for you, though. It’s not every day that my ten thousand dollar college intuition gets to shine through as useful!”
Sebastian missed diagnosing and studying disease and illness. He loved the work, and he was in the top percentage of his class. He often thought about the University and the people he met and were somewhat friends with. Even before the apocolypse, he was antisocial. He had never gone on a date, nor had he had any truly close friends. He regretted that he had been too absorbed in his studies to do anything fun. His biggest regret was not calling his foster parents before all hell broke loose. They had always been cold and distant towards him, yet he had only been with that family for five years… All of his previous foster parents had rejected him in some way for some reason. Perhaps that was the reason Sebastian was afraid of being close to others? But maybe that was a good trait in a world where everyone dies and comes back as a mindless creature who only wants to feast on their past species.
