For several moments, the android only stared. The expression on his face was one of incomprehensible confusion. This human boy was a kitten. It was the same organism. Everything checked out. “I… I am malfunctioning a lot.” He told him before turning around. Maybe if he didn’t look at him, he could sort it out.
Okay, perhaps his perception software was broken as well? He’d filed Ciel under “kitten” when he meant to file it under “human child”, so perhaps he’d just told himself it was a kitten, but it really was a human? That made sense, but… The robot looked back over his shoulder to glance at the boy again. He had the ears and tail of a kitten though. And he had watched his heat signature change while he was looking for him.
Either way, it was a human who was malnourished. He needed care and clothes. “Will you be my new master?” He asked as he picked him up by the waist easily and set him on the bed. He went into the closet and opened up a box. Inside were clothes that would be a bit large on Ciel, but were still obviously meant for a young male. He knelt to help him dress, absently running his hand over the boy’s tail without seeming to realize what he was doing. “I apologize in advance because this is a strange question, but… Were you a kitten just now? I’m trying to figure out if I was malfunctioning or not.”
──♚── Ciel had been worried the android would put him out on the street again. Well, he knew that androids were programmed to never harm a human, but this one looked rather broken. Who knows if the programming was messed up or not? His ears perked when he was asked to be his master.
“Really? You'll let me stay?” The boy allowed himself to be lifted and sat on the bed as clothes were placed on him. That was something he hadn’t had in a while. Real clothing! The boy couldn’t help but nuzzle into the clothes happily.
“It's not a strange question. I was a kitten. You weren' malfunctioning. My name is Ciel by the way. Thank you for saving me. I really would have died out there.”
