History has a tendency to repeat itself

A shiver took his body again as he felt like a rush of cold water came over him. Alois drew his arms around his bruised spotted body, hoping to recover some warmth. What and odd sensation. But he welcomed it along with the intruder.

“My…soul…?” He pondered aloud. This was was serious. This was a bond that would be irretractable. His fate would be sealed. Would Alois be willing to make this sacrifice. What was a being without a soul? But to have no soul would mean to feel no pain…to cease to exist. He would not meet heaven or hell. All he would have is this life. And this life would be bleak and torturous if he did not accept the proposal. The afterlife would be unknown. He looked back at the slumbering beast that was his master, his decision was made.

His thoughts were interrupted as the darkness pooled into a collective space. Footsteps touched his ears. Alois blinked, eyelashes fluttered. The sight that greeted him was not one to be expected.

It was a boy.

Alois could not help but giggle and spoil the serious air of the moment. “You’re so small! You must be a fairy!” He whispered while failing to suppress a giggle. He looked him up and down. He could easily pass a a human…but his aura…it was dark.

Alois was lingering on the edge, he wanted this. He wanted freedom, revenge, comfort and love. “I accept.” He said solemnly.” His mood shifting at the drop of a hat.

He stepped forward to touch the boy, just to make certain that he was real. He touched his face, cupping both cheeks in his hands then patted down his shoulders and chest. The blonde was not shy. Yes, he was real. “Does that mean I can keep you?”

──♚── Ciel’s eyes narrowed slightly at the giggle. It was certainly a blast from the past, but it was obvious this reincarnation didn’t remember anything of it. Still, the blond irked Ciel to no end. However, he was hungry and that soul was so tempting.

"I may not be very tall, but I can assure you I've been alive for.. quite a long time."

Ciel decided not to mention it had been only a century or so. Even to a human, that didn’t sound too impressive. That’s where Sebastian had the upperhand with these sorts of dealings. He’d been alive for thousands of years and was tall and could look frightening. So the boy had to find other ways to play the game.

A grin spread across his cheeks as the other boy accepted. Ciel had to think for a moment on the proper place to put his mark, signifying their contract. Ah, that’s right. It would be amusing if he put it on his tongue. Sort of a little inside joke that Alois would never remember. He waited patiently as the skeptical boy prodded and touched him. At the question, he quickly cupped Alois’ cheeks and looked into his azure eyes, his own glowing that blood red once more.

"Yes. Until our contract is up and I devour your soul."

At that, the blond would feel a burning in his mouth. It would start out dull, but slowly get to the point of being quite painful as a symbol etched itself into his tongue. A matching symbol slowly appeared on the back of Ciel’s hand at the same time, and when it was done, they were officially contracted.

"What would you like me to do first?"
