Sebastian certainly was an android. Normally, it wasn’t so apparent from the outside, but Sebastian was in obvious disrepair. His skin had the occasional tear or hole where no blood or scab filled it. His hair was singed on one side, partially melted to his head. On the same side, his eye was shattered, bits of glass sat in the socket. The android looked like he’d been in a blast of some kind. Most robots would have sought repair, but this one didn’t even seem to notice.
That teamed with the fact that his personality seemed to be switched off or damaged… or stolen perhaps? It was still up for debate on whether robots could think or feel for themselves, but personality hardware was what made sure it was expressed correctly. When androids had sudden outbursts of emotion or no emotion at all, it usually meant the personality chip was broken. He knew the basics. He knew what living things needed to survive. Was his taking the kitten in an act of caring? Or had he simply seen a living thing not getting the things it needed and decided to change that.
The little kitten, finally feeling more alive than it had been feeling in weeks, slowly got to its feet and wandered over to the android. He looked up at him curiously for a moment before carefully moving over to his legs and making a figure 8 between them. His little triangle tail stuck straight up while he rubbed against his leg and purred a thank you.
Seeing that the sun would be setting soon, however, the little thing decided to scout out a place to crash for the night. He hoped the android wouldn’t follow after him or else it might have ended up.. strangely. He bounded off down the hallway, acting as any little kitten would in a new home. He seemed to be exploring.
