The case had been something about some murdered men, in some weird pattern. Sebastian had been ordered to create a suspect list, from what clues there were, and frankly there hadn’t been a lot, but, being an order, Sebastian had complied and returned with a quite lengthy list.
“Here is the list of all possible suspects, my lord. I had tried to narrow it down, but it seems there were too little clues, and a number of motives that could have been taken.” He claimed, placing the list in his master’s hands.
Ciel was visibly frustrated with this case. At least with most of the others, plenty of clues were left for the boy to pick up. But this one… The clues were scattered here and there, but in a pattern that seemed almost… intentional. Even so, there were too few clues to really piece anything strong together.
With a soft sigh, the young earl took the list and looked it over. He had a feeling the list would be rather long, but it didn’t stop him from being irritated with Sebastian. His single sapphire optic scanned along the page, reading each of the names carefully before he glanced up at his butler with a frown.
“This list is bloody long! It’s going to take us months to even interview half of these people.” Ciel dropped the paper onto his desk and reached up to pinch the bridge of his nose. “Whoever this is, they’re not stupid.”
