The smile that was on the blond Earl’s lips widened as he heard Ciel’s agreeing words, happily humming a short tune of no song in particular as he spun on the heels of his shoes, immediately leading the way inside of his manor, and down the different hallways leading to the ballroom. The faint sound of humming music could be heard, getting louder and louder as they got closer to the room.
” So why did you show up here, Ciel? “
Sure, Alois had been wishing that Ciel would show up. Sort of. But he was still surprised that the Phantomhive Earl actually had showed up to his ball. Alois more sent him an invite as a playful thing, figuring that Ciel wouldn’t actually come. But here he was; Ceil Phantomhive was with him in the flesh.
” It’s nice of you to show up, nonetheless. I’m just curious.”

Ciel stepped through the hallways, following Trancy as his heels clicked on the tiled floor. As they approached the ballroom, he could muffled music seeping through the closed doorway. He stopped short of the doorway and looked to Alois for a moment to answer.
“I’m expected to come to these sorts of things.” The boy said matter-of-factly. “I’m sure there are other guests that are expecting to see me. And you know how nobles like to gossip otherwise.” He lulled his uncovered eye as he spoke, seeming to indicate that he’d much rather be somewhere else.
“Well then, shall we?” With that, Ciel turned to the doors of the ballroom and stepped inside to join the party. At least for a little while.
