The thought of Ciel ‘growing up’ was a odd one— but the proof was standing right here in front of her. The woman released a shakey laugh, and pulled back enough to softly stroke a hand along his cheek. As if to reassure herself he was indeed infront of her. “And how you’ve grown,” She mused more to herself, before bowing her head and stepping free. She composed her self quickly, dapping at the corners of her eyes with a hankerchief.
“Tea would be wonderful, yes.” She agreed once finished, moving to fall into step beside him. He seemed eager to welcome her back into his life— and she couldn’t but wonder if the choice was a wise one. Anne settled herself across from him, one leg folding itself over the other. The lengths of those scarlet skirts shifting as she leaned back and observed the sight. A human butler. It would take time to get use to that. The ache was dull now, but it remained nestled into her chest. She smiled around it.
“So, darling, spare me no details. Have you and Elizabeth finally married? Are there any children?”
Ciel slipped back into the comfort of his chair and waited on the butler to bring him his tea. Once he did, he thanked him and tipped the porcelain to his lips for a sip. It was good, but he remembered tea that was much better, years ago. Asked about Elizabeth, he winced slightly and shifted in his seat.
“Elizabeth and I sort of had a disagreement. She wanted me to quit the work I do for the queen. She disliked the fact it’s dangerous and also that I’m sometimes away from the estate for weeks on end. I enjoy my work. I couldn’t just quit on the queen, could I?” Ciel frowned as he peered down into his cup of tea for a moment.
“That was a few years ago and she’s yet to contact me. So.. No. I’m unmarried and without children. Perhaps one day.” The young man didn’t sound so optimistic out it, though but cheered up at little as he continued to speak. “Speaking of my work, though, I’m just about to go off to London for one case. It’s one I’ve been on for a couple weeks now.”
